Spaces for Interaction: An Online Conversation on Improving Traditional Conferences http://www.aace.org/conf/spaces/ * This (without fee) conference will be held online Feb. 18–20, 2009 *________________________________________________________ You are invited to participate in a free online conference on improving traditional conferences. The developmentsof technology over the last decade have increased the capacity for conference attendees to interact with speakersand each other in new ways. Fascinating opportunities exist for conferences to adopt more participatory approachesand thus enrich the conference experience for all. «Spaces for Interaction: An Online Conversation on Improving Traditional Conferences» will be organized by theAssociation for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE), an international, non-profit organizationdedicated to the advancement of information technology in education and learning (http://www.aace.org/ ) The general format for the conference will be to have an invited speaker or panel, at 9:00 am, 3:00 pm,and 9:00 pm each day, Feb. 18–20, 2009 (CST, GMT-6). The event will include live interactive presentations,moderated question and answer opportunities, and asynchronous discussion sessions. The results of the conference will be used to help further improve the ED-MEDIA ( http://www.aace.org/conf/edmedia),E-Learn ( http://www.aace.org/conf/elearn), and SITE ( http://site.aace.org/conf/) conferences as well as otherface-to-face conferences. All Invited talks and discussions will be recorded and distributed (no cost) via AACE.
