IFLA Journal

IFLA Journal is published on behalf of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions and is an international journal which publishes original peer reviewed articles, a selection of peer reviewed IFLA conference papers, and news of current IFLA activities. Content is selected to reflect the variety of the international information profession, ranging from freedom of access to information, knowledge management, and services to the visually impaired and intellectual property.
IFLA's World Library and Information Congress takes place in Milan, Italy, from the 23rd to the 27th August 2009.

The Journal of Information Science (JIS) is now an ONLINE FIRST journal which means forthcoming articles are published online before they are scheduled to appear in print.

JIS is published by SAGE on behalf of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) whose members can now enjoy free online access to the Journal of Information Science, Heatlh Informatics Journal, IFLA Journal and the Journal of Librarianship and Information Science from the member’s areas of the CILIP website.

The journal marked the 50th Anniversary of the founding of the Institute of Information Scientists in 2008 by publishing a special issue (Vol 34/4) containing articles by key people in the field.

Information Development is celebrating it’s 25th Volume in 2009.

The journal is a peer-reviewed and provides authoritative coverage of current developments in the provision, management and use of information throughout the world, with particular emphasis on the information needs and problems of developing countries.

Business Information Review

Business Information Review is the only journal devoted entirely to the practice of business information provision. Its content is especially tailored to the needs of business information professionals.

Every year the journal carries out an in depth survey of the delivery
and use of business information services and sources in the UK.

Journal of Librarianship and Information Science

The latest issue is now available. Edited by Anne Goulding, Department of Information Science, Loughborough University, the journal celebrated it’s 40th Anniversary last year (the September 2009 issue will be a special commemorative issue) and goes from strength to strength with papers from practising librarians, information workers and academics which reflect all aspects of librarianship and information science.
