Wood and biomass are purchased from private forest owners and business-to-business partners in Central and North Europe and overseas. Wood Sourcing in North Europe employs about 450 persons in Finland, Russia and the Baltic states.
UPM Wood Sourcing, North Europe Russia is looking for
Main task is to ensure wood and biomass sourcing and supply to mills located in Russia and abroad. As a part of local logistics team you will be closely involved in planning and steering of operations and volumes. Position includes a lot of work with contractor issues, contractor co-operation and also Finnish custom declaration and forwarding services. You will also have responsibilities regarding reporting and development of IT and planning tools and a role as a supervisor.
We are looking for a forest oriented talent to develop into iron wood sourcing professional. We expect you to have interest to work in Russian business environment. You already have a few years’ experience in forestry. Understanding of Russian supplier base and market are important qualities in this position. It’s an advantage to have understanding of sourcing and supply chain. Processes and concepts, Demand & Supply Planning procedure, both TCO and SRM tools. We expect also active networking capabilities and ability to co-operate with both Finnish and Russian mills. Good knowledge of Finnish, English and Russian languages are a prerequisite.
